About KRC

Kingfisher Riding Club (KRC), established in 2010, is based at the Etherow Centre in Broadbottom near Hyde. The Club operates alongside Kingfisher Riding for the Disabled Group whose facilities it shares, at the Etherow Centre. Disabled riders from KRDG are encouraged to take part in Club events wherever possible.

The Club aims to bring together people who love horses to compete together, learn together and have fun together.

KRC is for you if you are interested in:

  • taking part in small, friendly and relaxed competitions where the focus is on having a go and enjoying the experience rather than on winning or wearing the right show gear;
  • learning from horse-care and riding specialists who are keen to share their expertise with you through training events, lectures and demonstrations;
  • meeting like-minded horsey people through a variety of social events such as quizzes, shopping nights and organised trips to equine events like HOYS & Olympia.

It doesn't matter whether or not you have your own horse or what your level of riding/horse knowledge is, we hope there will be something for you at KRC. If there isn't, please let us know as we are always looking for new ideas.

You don't have to be a member, as a variety of events will be open to non-members as well, but if you do join you will benefit from reduced fees for many events. It is our aim to affiliate to British Riding Clubs in time and this will bring additional benefits to KRC members.
